SMS Campaign/Booster Shot Guidelines
Practices that flag spam filters, and risk your number being throttled by carriers
Sending a link in the first message (very very risky, do NOT do this)
Using URL shorteners (like bit.ly)
Not introducing the sender (always start with "this is [name] at [clinic])
Sending a campaign too often (the ideal cadence is every 1-2 months)
Using too many emojis (a few emojis are ok, but do not fill the message with them)
Making the message too long (200-300 characters is the sweet spot)
Practices that lead to poor results
Sending an unappealing offer that people aren't interested (follow our guidelines to avoid this)
Sending multiple offers in 1 message. Stick to ONE offer/campaign
Not including a clear call to action (Reply YES, or RSVP)
Over texting your list. Don't burn people out. Stick to 1-2 month intervals for your campaigns.
Best Practices
Use or model our recommended campaigns.
Only send appealing offers (follow our guidelines!!!)
Always introduce yourself in the message: "Hi this is [name] at [clinic]"
Use ONE offer in your message. A confused mind does not buy
Stick to 200-350 characters in your message.
Include a clear call to action (like reply YES)
FAQ's
When will my campaign launch?
Your campaign will launch on the requested date, as long as it is requested at least 12hrs prior to the launch time. Otherwise it will be launched 1 day after requested time.
Who will receive my campaign?
By default, your campaign will be delivered to your uploaded contacts, plus any new leads generated that are not in active follow up. This includes your recycle list, and cancelled appointments from your pipeline.
Can I send my campaign to specific contacts?
If you have special instructions, please include them in your campaign launch request.
Can I send a booking link?
You should not include a link in your initial message send out en-masse. You should only send a link if people have already replied to your initial message (for example - they have replied YES). If you would like to do this, add it as a note in your campaign request.
